"protocol": "Silica was dispersed in butyl acetate (BA) at a 20:80 silica/BA wt./wt. ratio for preparation of the coating materials. Tetrabutylammonium fluoride (TBAF) was diluted with 4-methyl-2-pentanone (MIBK) to produce a 50 mM solution for catalysis. Coating compositions were prepared by encoding them as xPEG/yCF3, where x is the TMS-PEG content expressed as a weight percentage relative to the total weight of PDMS, CF3-PDMS, silica, TMS-PEG, and MeTAcSi, and y is the CF3-PDMS content expressed as a weight percentage relative to the total weight of CF3-PDMS and PDMS.A set of 27 polymer coatings was produced using a combinatorial approach with a focus on synthesizing hydrophilic polymers with various functional groups. Polymer coatings were prepared in multiwell plates employing an automated water-jet method to assess adhesion to marine bacteria and microalgae. The specific components used included CF3-PDMS and TMS-PEG. These components were under varying concentrations, forming mixture systems for further QSAR modeling, which was executed using Genetic Algorithm (GA) and Multiple Linear Regression Analysis (MLRA) techniques to establish a correlation between their structural properties and biological activities. Descriptors encoding chemical structure were generated and utilized for mixture models, leading to the prediction of biological activities based on the component properties within polymer coatings."
